Its okay not to be serious ALL the time!

Yesterday, I wrote a post about report card comments (*click her to read it*) and it really upset some people.  I  received some really hateful and mean emails about it.  For those of you who were offended....lighten up! I wrote that post in jest.  I LOVE my job, I LOVE my students, and I even LOVE my students parents (most of them).  At the risk of tooting my own horn, I am a great teacher..... I even won educator of the year for my entire district in 2004. My students and parents love me back (most of them) :)

Here's a little advice (just my opinion)....  Don't take life to serious! Have fun! Live, LAUGH, Learn!

  1. Lorraine,
I responded to your post yesterday in a positive way. I am disappointed to hear people didn't share the same sense of humor! This time of year, where we have all survived way too many meetings, and are preparing for conferences, we all deserve to vent a little!

  2. You rock, I loved yesterday's post!!! Too bad everyone couldn't tell that DUH it was meant to be FUNNY. Keep up the great work and try to ignore those who are too serious or whatever to get it.

  3. Lorraine,

I think your post was honest and what many of us think on a regular basis. It was meant to be funny and this teacher took it that way. I loved it. I'm sorry that some people responded with negative emails and comments. Obviously, they must be perfect all of the time and have ONLY happy thoughts ;)
