Currently in September!

As usual, I am linking up with one of my favorite peeps, Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade, to one of my favorite linky par-tays, Currently!

My doctor recently told me to only drink water and milk and to cut down my coffee intake........WHAT???? Cut down my coffee intake? That's like telling the Pope no more praying!  I am down to about 4-5 cups a day but my goal is to get it down to one cup a day (and not a real measured cup but my insulated Starbucks mug instead).  I'm on #3 today but I will try not to have any this afternoon.... It's Labor day, holidays don't count, do they?

Today was the official launch to the new Jamberry Nails Designs.  I LOVE them all, especially the Fashionably Festive section which has the holiday wraps!  Here is a short video about some of the new designs.  You can also visit my website ,LorrainesFABnails, and check out all the new designs.

I don't know about you but for me, the people I work with (including students) makes a world of difference.  We just finished up our first week of school and I think its going to be an AWESOME year! I love my new team and my new students!

Of course, I left everything to do for today but I will eventually get it done.... maybe.  One major thing is to look at our new math curriculum and figure out my guided math this year!

Vegas, Hawaii, and Alaska.... all places I have never been but NEED to go!  We are planning on bringing in the new year at Disney World this year and that is probably one of the biggest reasons I have never been to the other places.... we keep going back to Disney! We went on our honeymoon and have been back at least 10 times in our 24 years of marriage.  No matter how old we get the kids love it and so do we!

Happy Labor Day my friends!

  2. Hi, coming over from Farley's Currently series! I tried on my very first set of Jamberry nails last night. I must have not done it correctly because after washing dishes, one came off completely and two were almost off. I used a blow dryer to heat them up and then used it again after they were on, but I must've gotten a step wrong. I was so upset because I LOVE all of the designs! They have SO many cute ones! Any tips?!

    1. I'm so sad for you Lana. Did you prep (wash & alcohol?) your nails? Maybe you added to much heat. I would be glad to send you some samples so you can try again, unless you already have a consultant... I don't want to take you away from someone :) I usually change mine out weekly just to have a new design but they last way longer! They definitely shouldn't come off by themselves and especially right after you put them on,,,, dishes or not. If you need new samples or want to ask any questions just email me at LorrainesFabNails@gmail.com

  5. Our district adopted enVision 2 years ago. We are slowly moving away from it and using Accelerated Math more. I hope you guys have a better time with it! The order was weird for us. Don't be afraid to put it in the order that makes sense for you. After we did that our students didn't struggle so much. Good luck!

Vegas, Alaska, and Hawaii. 3 places I have never been but want to visit as well. We are like you though and saving up for Disney. My oldest son also wants to visit Universal for the Harry Potter attractions. I can't wait to take him.

    Have a great year!

  6. I don't drink coffee ever (don't throw your mug at me haha) but when I was on a special diet a couple of years ago they told me I couldn't have diet coke. WHAT-EV. It's my one real vice and I'm NOT giving it up. This is now understood by every doctor I work with lol
